At the end of January 2018, the Link NCA Technical Unit organised, for analysts, a training on the changes in the methodology both on the qualitative and quantitative levels, and on the operational programming post Link NCA. Regarding the quantitative aspect, analysts received training on the statistical correlation involved in the analysis and identification of the causal pathways of specific malnutrition in a given context and on reinforcing the complementarity of the two quantitative and qualitative approaches. Also during this training, a presentation was made of the integration of the community consultation to qualitative analysis including participatory methods aimed at identifying competencies and barriers as well as solutions with communities. This training week was also an opportunity to discuss with analysts about their needs, their feedback and suggestions on how to improve the methodology and tools in order to better meet the operational needs of humanitarian organisations.
