Mohamed has worked in international development for more than 15 years, specializing in food security and livelihoods, market systems, economic development, and climate adaptation and resilience. He is a veterinarian with MSc and MPhil in epidemiology and economics, and has regional expertise of Greater Horn of Africa region (Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Uganda). Mohamed has collected and analyzed qualitative data for the Link NCA studies in Somalia's Baidoa, Beletweyne, Goldogob, and Kahda districts, as well as Somalia's Dollow District, and is currently working on a study in Zimbabwe's Matabeleland North Province.
